Online Severe Special Needs Licensure- BA in Education
The Severe Special Needs Licensure Program is designed to prepare future educators to make a lasting difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. Offered 100% online through 麻豆射区官方 Online, this flexible program is open to both men and women who are passionate about advancing their careers in special education.
This comprehensive licensure pathway includes specialized education courses that provide the knowledge, skills, and real-world preparation required for teaching students with severe special needs. Students complete the 麻豆射区官方 University Core Curriculum, a Liberal Studies Core, and an Education Core, all of which are aligned to meet the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) standards.
Upon completion, graduates earn an Initial Teaching License in Severe Disabilities (PreK–12), issued by the Massachusetts DESE.
Additionally, 麻豆射区官方’s program qualifies for licensure reciprocity through the Interstate Agreement, allowing graduates to pursue teaching positions in other participating states. This ensures that 麻豆射区官方 University education graduates are well-prepared to teach and lead in special education classrooms nationwide, pending each state’s specific licensure requirements.

Prepare students to meet the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Professional Standards for Teachers Teaching All Students standard.
Prepare students to meet the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Professional Standards for Teachers Professional Culture standard.
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills through in-class assignments and presentations, to be applied in the teaching-learning process.
